Written by Celeste Bedford Walker, an entertaining and compelling story of six Black U.S. soldiers and the incidents leading up to the tragic 1917 racially-charged riot at their Camp Logan base in Houston, TX during World War I. You will laugh and cry with these resilient soldiers as you get a glimpse into the lives on base.
