The University Art Museum at University at Albany is pleased to announce the public programs to accompany the exhibition  Affinities and Outliers. All programs are presented in the Museum unless otherwise noted. Programs are free and open to the public. Free parking in campus visitor lots on Saturdays. 

Exhibition Tours
Every Wednesday at noon, February 5 – April 1
Join us for a 45-minute tour of the exhibitions with artist and UAM Education and Public Engagement Coordinator Berly Brown.

Creative Life Conversations
Senior art critic and columnist for New York MagazineJerry Saltz, Tuesday, March 24, 6 pm Book Signing and Reception, UAM, 7 pm Conversation, Campus Center West Auditorium. Seating is first come,first serve.
In conversation with WAMC “Roundtable” host Joe Donahue. Co-sponsored with NYS Writers Institute and UAlbany Performing Arts Center.

Saturday Yoga at the Museum
Led by Carrie Will, February 29, noon – 1 pm
Led by Meghan Hogan, April 4, noon – 1 pm
Yoga Care: The Capital Region’s Traveling Yoga Studio will provide all supply mats and props. Donations welcome. 

Saturday Art Lab with Christine Snyder (MFA ’16)
Abstract Collage, February 22, 1 – 3 pm (based on Olle Baertling)
Rubber Stamp, March 7, 1 – 3 pm (based on Hilda Katz)
Book Page Art, March 28, 1 – 3 pm (based on Tim Rollins and K.O.S.)
Join this artist-led hands-on artmaking workshop. The projects are based on the artwork included in the exhibition Affinities and Outliers. 

Wikipedia Edit-a-thon: Art + Feminism 2020
Thursday, March 5, 12 – 3 pm
Wikipedia’s gender inequity is well-documented. Join us for a communal updating of Wikipedia entries on subjects related to the women artists included in the exhibition Affinities and Outliers. Co-sponsored with University Libraries.
Museum Hours: Tuesday, 10 am – 7 pm, Wednesday – Friday, 10 am – 5 pm, Saturday, noon – 4 pm.
