Critical Forum is Accepting Applications

Critical Forum is an immersive, professional development opportunity for emerging and mid-career artists. Twelve artists will join in a critical and professional conversation with their peers and art administrators. They will experience open dialogue with New York City curators, gallery owners, and artists. Join this immersive experience designed to take your practice to the next level. Artists can benefit from sustained critical review of their work, especially as it relates to New York City’s art environment. There is no fee to apply or participate in Critical Forum.

Gina Occhiogrosso presents over 25 paintings, 3 assemblages, 2 accordion sketchbooks, and a video in a solo exhibition titled Surfacing from January 14 to March 11, 2022. Surfacing spans the past five years and touches upon the empowerment of the feminine in contemporary painting, the boundaries of craft and fine art, the pandemic, job loss, and other themes.
