Job summary:

Provide collaborative leadership and facilitation of innovative engagement platforms that elevate the arts at Smith College. Connect the communities and catalyze the work of the departments of Art, Dance, Film and Media, Music, and Theatre, including interdisciplinary art. Oversee staff and work cooperatively with the arts planning committee to enable the presentation of performances, exhibits and related events, including works by students, faculty, and guest artists. Manage the operations of the Office of the Arts on behalf of the faculty, attending to individual department visions and priorities while administering the whole. The Office coordinates calendars, productions, exhibits, and related activities across campus.

The Office partners with various vibrant units engaged in producing, making, community building, and arts presenting, including the Smith College Museum of Art, The Poetry Center, The Design Thinking Initiative, the Imaging Center, the Kahn Liberal Arts Institute, and the Jandon Center for Community Engagement.
