Bring in a photo of a snow scene or choose one of the instructors to paint from.

Intro to Kiln-Fired Glass: Snowflake Ornament

December 10th 2022

Come discover glass fusing, while crafting a sparkling, wintry ornament for your home. To create a snowflake or winter scene, you’ll layer small chunks of glass and thin string-like bits on flat, backing glass that will then be heated in a kiln oven until melted together. Students will get to choose their ornament’s shape, design, and colors and also receive instruction on several different methods for creating holes and attachment points in melted glass. Please note: the studio fee covers cost of all materials plus shipping of finished pieces once instructor completes a glass firing for student work.
