Role Overview:
As a Junior Curator with TAAH, collaborating closely with our experienced team, you’ll curate a compelling exhibition, engage with renowned artists and collectors, and immerse yourself fully in the art fair experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior curators to develop captivating exhibitions that resonate with audiences.
- Assist in the meticulous curation of exhibition booths for the art fair, ensuring impeccable presentation.
- Engage with artists, collectors, and visitors, fostering meaningful connections within the art community.
- Participate in gallery openings and contribute to event coordination efforts.
- Document the excitement of the fair through social media initiatives and strategic documentation.
Qualifications:
Do you possess a deep-seated passion for contemporary African art? That’s a prerequisite.
In addition, we value:
- A background in curatorial studies or art history, demonstrating your understanding of the art landscape.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, essential for building relationships.
- Proficiency in Google Drive, Google Sheets, and other essential tools.
- Sales and marketing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
